Welcome
The Office of the Seniors' Advocate is an independent office of the House of Assembly of Newfoundland and Labrador. This Office has authority to identify, review and analyze systemic issues related to seniors and make recommendations respecting changes to improve seniors' services.
Message from the Advocate
On November 7, 2017 I was appointed as the first Seniors' Advocate for the province of Newfoundland Labrador. I am both honoured and humbled. As the Advocate it is my responsibility to seek input from seniors throughout this province and to determine where they believe gaps exist in legislation, policies, programs and services. Once gaps are identified as systemic we can complete comprehensive reviews and make recommendations as to how to address those gaps.
June is Seniors Month

June is Seniors' Month in Newfoundland and Labrador. It is an opportunity to shine a spotlight on the many contributions of seniors. Seniors' Month is also a good time to recognize the important role of communities in promoting age-friendly living.
